Artists, Makers and Repairs (amR) provides live chainstitch embroidery, custom embroidery commissions and garment repair services in Los Angeles, California and Sydney, Australia. This policy explains what information we collect through our website, weareamr.com, and how we use it.

We do not operate an online store. We do not sell products through this website, and we do not collect payment or credit card information through the site.

SECTION 1 - INFORMATION WE COLLECT

When you get in touch through one of our inquiry forms (for example, a live embroidery booking request, a custom order inquiry, or a denim repair request), we collect the information you provide, which may include your name, email address, phone number, city or location, event or project details, and any photos you choose to upload.

Photos submitted with a repair or custom inquiry are used only to assess your item and prepare a quote or recommendation. We keep them only as long as needed to complete your inquiry or project.

When you browse our website, our hosting platform, Shopify, and Google Analytics automatically collect standard technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, and how you interact with the site. We use this only to understand how the site is used and to improve it.

We do not collect any information beyond what you submit through our forms and what Shopify and Google Analytics collect automatically as described above.

SECTION 2 - COOKIES

Our website uses cookies set by Shopify and Google Analytics to help the site function and to understand how visitors use it. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as intended if you do.

SECTION 3 - HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the information you provide to respond to your inquiry, provide a quote, coordinate an event or repair, and communicate with you about your project.

We use analytics data from Shopify and Google Analytics to understand site traffic and improve the website. This data is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to third parties, and we do not share it with any other business for their own marketing purposes.

SECTION 4 - HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION

We keep the information you submit for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry, complete your project, and meet any record-keeping obligations we may have. If you would like us to delete your information sooner, contact us using the details in Section 8.

SECTION 5 - EMAIL COMMUNICATION

If you submit an inquiry form, we will email you in relation to that inquiry. We will only send you marketing or newsletter emails if you separately opt in to receive them, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email.

SECTION 6 - THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Our website is built on Shopify, which provides the platform and hosting for this site. We also use Google Analytics to understand website traffic. These providers may process your information in the United States or other countries where they operate, as described in their own privacy policies:

- Shopify: https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy
- Google Analytics: https://policies.google.com/privacy

Once you leave our website or are redirected to a third-party website (such as Instagram, Facebook or YouTube), you are no longer covered by this Privacy Policy, and we encourage you to read that site's own privacy policy.

SECTION 7 - YOUR RIGHTS

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, request a copy of it, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect and the right to request deletion. We do not sell or share personal information as defined under the CCPA.

If you are in Australia, you have rights under the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles, including the right to access and correct your personal information, and the right to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if you believe your information has been mishandled.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 8.

SECTION 8 - SECURITY

We take reasonable precautions to keep the information you share with us secure, and we only use it for the purposes described in this policy.
